Ziga Brezovnik holds MA in Design for Sustainability specializing in Textile Design from Designskolen Kolding. He moved from Slovenia to Denmark to pursue his passion for textiles and fell in love with the exploration of colors, interior and light perceived on a daily basis interaction through windows. The journey made him stay in Denmark where he decided to start his own studio - LOKALTID.

The studio was created with local production and design in mind. The name meaning "local time" in English corresponds with the studio´s sustainable philosophy, here and with the love for design. LOKALTID stands for light, textiles and colors - approaching all aspects of fabric to create your everyday light experience.

The majority of pieces are inspired by the pop art philosophy of playing with everyday objects, in our case also with everyday words. The refined selection of colors starts to turn the designs into Scandinavian design philosophy but with a fun twist - Scandi pop. From the light perspective, I am mostly inspired by modernist photographers who approached light as an object itself.
